OUR MISSION

Support that centers ability, dignity, and choice.

This Ability of Mine exists to help disabled people and their families access practical support, trusted information, and a community that listens. We advocate for inclusion, connect people to services, and promote independence—so every person can participate fully, on their own terms.

  • Person-led support plans shaped by real goals and daily life.
  • Accessible guidance for families, caregivers, and referring professionals.
  • Community programs that build skills, confidence, and connection.

OUR CORE COMMITMENTS

Three values that guide every program

We exist to expand choice, independence, and belonging for disabled people. These commitments shape how we design services, share information, and partner with families, professionals, and communities.

Nothing about us without us

Disabled people lead the conversation. We co-design services and content with lived experience, listen first, and make decisions transparently—so support reflects real needs, not assumptions.

Access you can rely on

We build for accessibility from the start: clear language, multiple ways to engage, and practical guidance. If a resource or service isn’t usable, we treat that as unfinished work.

Dignity, safety, and respect

Support should never cost someone their dignity. We protect privacy, communicate with care, and create welcoming spaces where people feel safe to ask, learn, and take the next step.

OUR MISSION & COMMITMENT

Disability support built on dignity and access

This ability of mine exists to help disabled people live with choice, safety, and belonging. We remove barriers by offering practical support, clear information, and advocacy that centers each person’s goals and rights.

We partner with families, caregivers, and professionals to connect people to services, resources, and community. We also share education and updates through our blog so more people can understand disability and inclusion.

OUR MISSION

Turning barriers into practical support

This ability of mine exists to make daily life more accessible, dignified, and self-directed for disabled people. We listen first, then connect individuals and families to clear information, community programs, and real-world help.

We partner with caregivers, professionals, and advocates to remove barriers and strengthen inclusion. Through services and education, we aim for outcomes people can feel: more confidence, more options, and more independence.
